Even when walking in a party of no more than three I can always be certain of learning from those I am with. There will be good qualities that I can select for imitation and bad ones that will teach me what requires correction in myself.

Education -- our all day, every day, everywhere affair. Formal schooling, but one part of the whole, often provides a unique opportunity and safe space to ponder, reflect, research, and dialogue. For example, Socrates' dictum, "The unexamined life is not worth living", provides delicious food for thought. Often taken as gospel, some philosophers and educators interestingly argue its truth, merit, and worth. Doesn't that make it even more engaging? Acknowledging the privilege I have enjoyed pursuing my formal education at these schools, I remain eternally grateful for the opportunity provided me to attend them.
